The Bucks County Animal Response Team
Thank you for your interest in the Bucks County Animal Response Team – BCART.
CARTs – County Animal Response Teams – are disaster response teams of ICS trained volunteers, sub-grouped by county, who serve the Pennsylvania State Animal Response Team – PASART. www.pasart.us Bucks CART is a participant, along with four other area counties, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia in the Southeastern Pennsylvania – SEPA 5 County collaborative designation.
PASART, a State/Commonwealth-wide organization was founded to assist government officials in responding to or handling companion animal and domestic livestock needs during disaster or crisis situations. SART is based on the principals of the Incident Command System developed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and involves a coordinated effort of government, corporate and animal organizations.
